Unlike niche sites and freelance copywriting, dropshipping is probably the FASTEST way to earn $100 a day. Keep reading and you’ll know why – and how you can do it – down below.

But first…

What’s Dropshipping?

Before I start giving you the action steps you can take to earn $100 a day with dropshipping, let’s define what it is first. You’ll be amazed at how simple this business model is.

In simple words, dropshipping is a business model where you, the dropshipper, is the middleman between wholesalers and shoppers. That’s it.  You don’t need to manufacture your own products, hold inventory on warehouses or even invest $50k upfront.

You simply need a website, a supplier and traffic to sell your products. Let me tell you how (actionable steps below).

How To Start Dropshipping

Now that you know the simple definition of dropshipping, it’s time that you earn your first sale. Here’s the process X-step process on how any beginner can start earning their first $100 with dropshipping.

Follow this guide and you’ll be earning your first sale in no time.

1. Find a Niche

Unlike affiliate marketing, finding a niche isn’t as crucial as finding winning products, but it’s still important nonetheless. Say your niche has a lot of money in it, but if you can’t find the product your niche wants, you still won’t earn money… so why is a niche important?

If you compare niche stores with general stores, niche stores will always win.

If you’re just starting out, you wouldn’t want the hassles that come with a general stores. They’re not beginner friendly. With general stores, you wouldn’t be able to develop a profound understanding of your market. Without this understanding, you won’t be able to create a good copy. Without a good copy, it would be hard for you to sell.

Niche stores, on the other hand, will give you more focus. It will give you the understanding you need to connect well with your audience. You’ll get to know more about their wants, needs, fears, desires, etc. You’ll know so much about them that you’ll know them more than they know themselves.

Here’s what that means for you…

  • You’ll learn how to persuade your market easily
  • You’ll know the products they want to buy
  • You can create a strong brand around it faster

2. Find Products For Your Niche

After doing research to find your niche, you now have to research for the products on that niche. Want to know what products are your market is looking for? Want to know what products they like? You can find out how – and you don’t need an app. You only need 1 thing.

Market research.

This is how you can find out what products your customer would want to pay for. There are a few places you can do this – Forums, Facebook groups, Reddit, etc.

Market research is also one of the best ways to improve your copy. It will help you write better ad copy, write high-converting product descriptions, and even a better email sequence.

3. Build Your Shopify Store Website

Building a website is easier now – especially with all the platforms available. Here’s what you’ll have to do…

  1. Get a domain – I always buy my domain at namecheap simply because I’ve never had a problem with them before.
  2. Connect your domain to your Shopify store – for Shopify, you’ll get a FREE trial of 14 days.
  3. Add your products – list all the products you think is worth testing. You don’t need to add 100+ products to start a store.
  4. Customize your store – there are hundreds of themes available in Shopify – free and paid ones. The free ones are already good, so you don’t really need to buy one.
  5. Go through settings page – do the necessary things you need for your website (e.g. setting up a free plus shipping offer)
  6. Set up the basic shopify plan – once you’re ready, you set up the shopify plan – and that’s it basically.

4. Test Products By Running Traffic

When it comes to running about traffic, people usually think of one thing – Facebook Ads – but no. If you’re just starting out and you have no idea whatsoever about this platform, this isn’t for you. Not yet at least. You need to learn the fundamentals of Facebook ads before testing it out.

Lucky for you, this Facebook Ads guide is free.

Wanna know what you should do besides Facebook Ads? Instagram Shoutouts. Not only is it the cheapest way to test products, it’s also one of the easiest way to give Facebook data before even testing it! This is the first thing I’ll do when I create a new store and I recommend you do the same.

5. Optimize and Scale

Once you’ve reached a certain point, say 200-300 ATCs/Purchases, you’d want to start using Facebook Ads to scale. However, if you don’t know and understand how you can leverage it, so you can scale your store, I suggest you learn first. You wouldn’t want to lose money, don’t you?

The thing about Facebook Ads and why most people think it’s sexy is because of its passivity and scalability.

You can scale to hundreds of thousands in 1 day and you can run ads without touching them more than once per day. All you need to do is set up the right campaign setup (e.g. rules, bidding, marketing strategy, etc.)

If you haven’t learned Facebook Ads yet, and have read the Instagram guide, you know that you can also scale with Instagram. The problem is, it’ll require more hassles for you unlike the more passive Facebook Ads.

It’s really up to you, but if you want to learn more about scaling and all the things you need to know to make money online, subscribe here.

Final Thoughts

Setting up a dropshipping store is easy. What’s not easy is finding wining products and profitably scaling your ads. They all require testing. You need to have thick skin if you want to win big. Learn the fundamentals and trust the process.

So that’s it. Should you continue with dropshipping? That’s for you to decide. Dropshipping still works, but you need to find out if it works for YOU. If not, you can always take a look at niche sites and freelance copywriting. 🤷‍♂️
