Why Some People Succeed While Others Fail

some people succeed others not

In today’s email, I’m going to talk a little about why some people succeed with dropshipping while many others fail.

No, this isn’t going to be anything wishy-washy. No talk of “self-confidence” or “perseverance” in here.

(Even though, I do think those characteristics are crucial – despite how cliché they sound)

Today I’m talking about something else though. The skill that separates the winners from the guys that end up on forums posting about how making money online is just a scam…

Obviously, you want to be in the first category. And I’ve got good news: You can be.

All that’s needed is the willingness to actually put in work & learn a few key skills. The most important of those skills is the topic of today’s email.

I’m sure you’re dying to know so let’s cut the suspense…

Sales. Copywriting. Marketing.

Boring, huh?

No FB ad scaling secrets for you, sorry.

Sadly, most people just want the tactics. They want to know how to select the right niche, products and traffic source.

That’s what most of the questions I receive are about, but it is NOT the key to success with dropshipping.

Sure, those things all matter. But before you can really start to pick the right niches & products, you need a fundamental understanding of marketing.

You need to know what drives human decision-making. Honestly, that’s what I attribute large parts of my (moderate) success to: I studied human behavior & bet on myself.

Because really, that’s the key component of marketing, sales and copywriting.

You can’t force people to want something they aren’t interested in. Even the best salesmen in the world can’t do that.

First, you need a product that people want. Then, you need to find a way to place the product infront of those people. Finally, you need to figure out the best way to present your product to them.

That’s marketing in a nutshell.

The guys that understand marketing, even just on a basic level, they do very well with dropshipping.

Why?

Because they aren’t selling crap that nobody wants!

If you can get this right, you can mess up a lot of the dropshipping tactics and still make money. On the other hand, all the best tactics in the world won’t help you if you’re selling something that nobody wants.

Capiche?

I was reminded of this just yesterday: A friend of mine, Kyle from This is Trouble, just started dropshipping last week.

In his first week, he has made over $100 in sales. He’s breaking even in week 1.

Any of you that do dropshipping know that those are great results.

The other example is of course my boy Nate Schmidt. The guy is killing it with his store – even though, he only started dropshipping in January 2018.

He’s making $10k profit per month quite comfortably I believe – Despite moving across the world to New Zealand (and rumor has it, he’s been out partying more than usual).

Point is, lots of people have been doing this for longer than Kyle without seeing the same results.

Lots of people work longer hours than Nate, but don’t make anywhere near as much money as him.

What separates the 2 of them (and myself, if I may humbly say so) from all the newbies that never make a dime online?

Yup, a solid understanding of marketing & human behavior.

We all learned it from books, watching people in our environment & failing a ton before eventually finding success.

That sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it?

It kinda sounds like a long, tiring process that could take years…Because it is!

Here’s what I know about humans: We ultimately all want easier & faster results.

Yes, that includes you. It also includes myself by the way.

So what would a good salesman do in this situation? That’s right, offer you a solution to teach you marketing, sales & copywriting FASTER and EASIER.

Nate Schmidt is currently doing a little pre-launch for his course. It’s only available to his email subscribers, but I was able to persuade him to let my loyal readers get in too. (The benefits of networking that I’ve been telling you all about)

The course is called Ecom Copy Crash Course (ECCC). It teaches you copywriting specifically for dropshipping.

Sure, you can buy books about copywriting & hand-copy sales letters like I’m currently doing. But that’s the long route.

A short, concise crash course like this can take months off your learning curve.

ECCC is purely text-based. Nate is a good writer making it easy to understand & pleasurable to read. The course content is also a lot easier to skim which is an advantage compared to a video course like mine.

Currently, it’s available for $87 through the link at the end of this email. This is still the pre-launch phase and the course is only available for a few more hours.

The doors slam shut at 6am Eastern on Sunday morning. When it officially launches, it will cost (I believe) $187.

You don’t need this course (or any other) to make money online. I think I’ve been very clear about that.

As usual, you can learn things the easy way or the hard way.

At $87, this course is a steal in my opinion. In 5 hours, it will give you a solid understanding of marketing & copywriting.

You’ll be in the perfect situation to follow in Nate’s, Kyle’s and my own footsteps.

P.S. You see how easy selling is?

1. Understand what people want
2. Offer them a product that serves that desire
3. Explain in simple terms how the product is worth more than the money they’re paying

Simple, right?
