So, there are popular dropshipping experts, gurus, that talk about high-ticket items being the best.
Well, I don’t think they are. For me, low-ticket items specifically Free + Shipping have been best.
I am very honest and clear about that but of course, both can work.
So, I think the low-ticket items are easier to get started with. They’re easier to get sales just because it’s smaller commitment.
We’re only talking about selling $10 or convincing someone to spend $10 rather than $100 or $200.
So, you’ll build a customer base a lot quicker.
You’ll build a lookalike audience quicker.
You’ll build an email list quicker.
And because you get more data points, you’ll also learn traffic sources quicker.
So testing Facebook ads for $200 product, that’s expensive because you need a decent amount of conversion to know whether something actually consistently works or whether it’s just the one out of look.
So for $200, you’re looking at $400 to $600 to $800 before you have any idea whether that campaign or that product is a winner.
Of course, feel free to test high-ticket items later on if you’re already successful.
Do whatever you want, you’ve earned it. And also, make sure you have a few more expensive items.
I’m not talking about a $100 range but perhaps going up to $70, $80 on your store.
Just add complimentary products that people may be interested in buying.
If they don’t, no problem.
No harm done.
You’re making your money on the front-end.
But if you also add them, then all the better for you.
And also, if there are no high-ticket items on your niche, don’t worry about that.
That is not a problem.
Like I said, I make most of my money with Free + Shipping offers and honestly, people worry about only doing low-ticket items.
Well, I talked about it earlier in this video.
There are higher margins than more expensive products in terms of a percentage.
So there’s nothing wrong with doing Free + Shipping.
And doing at least on the front-end where you drive traffic to, exclusively Free + Shipping, don’t worry if that’s what you’re doing at first or even after a few months or year.
