Well, first of all, you have to remember that quite a significant drop off here is normal especially if you’re doing Free + Shipping.
Some people didn’t know that they have to pay for shipping and then they get to the checkout page and suddenly it’s $10, that scares them off.
Fine, don’t worry about that.
First of all, make sure you have a problem before you worry about this.
So, far too many people I think ask me about their add to cart conversion rates not being good when in fact the real problem is the product sucks, the page sucks, their ad sucks, everything sucks and they just think the add to cart is the problem.
They think they are almost successful when in fact they suck.
So, make sure you have a real problem here before you look into this any further, but as the best practice, always set up abandonment protector plus up to three emails we’ve talked about this way back in this course.
It’s a very effective app.
You’ll make a ton of sales.
It’s basically free money to set this up and have it send out automatic emails.
Essentially, you’re always gonna have to judge your campaigns whether that’s on Instagram or Facebook, you’re gonna have to judge them based on sales.
So, adds to cart are not a metric you judge anything by.
If you’re getting a lot of Add-to-carts but not sales then your campaign sucks, end of story.
And here are the final notice that sums the whole thing up, beginners they tend to clutch at straws hoping to see this as a sign of success when in fact it is nothing more than just people added to cart but yeah, it doesn’t pay any money in your pocket, unfortunately.
